This was scooped from Scott Dunlap’s blog. Dean Karnazes has been nominated for an ESPY in the Outdoor Athlete of the Year category.
Scott Dunlap asks “Should Dean Karnazes Win an ESPY Award?” and I agree there have been many more worthy nominees in the ultra/trail outdoor running world including Karl Meltzer, Darcy Africa, Matt Carpenter, Nikki Kimball and of course Scott Jurek! I just think Dean was nominated because he has the best marketing team and well running 50 marathons in 50 days does sound pretty hardcore.
Even if you are not a Dean Karnazes fan as Scott pointed out “you could be convinced that Dean winning an ESPY is better than having it go to a bass fisherman or musher”. So go vote!
