Rare defeat Anna Pichtrova the Women’s World Mountain Running Champion in the final WMRA Grand Prix race of 2007 on the Smarna Gora, in Ljubljana, Slovenia on Saturday. Victoria Wilkinson (GBR) was able to out run champion Anna Pichrtova (CZE) in a time of 48:54. Pichrtova finished in second position 47 seconds behind, and with the best 3 results (out of 4 races) still managed to finish first overall in the 2007 Grand Prix (308 points).
The men’s race was one by Andrzej Dlugosz (POL). Marco Gaiardo of Italy placed fifth in the race but still finished on top for the overall Grand Prix.
