Trail Running Blog

A site visitor emailed me wondering if I knew what was the first trail running race? Good question I have no idea. Does anyone out there know the answer to this? I have a feeling it was probably in the UK seems like mountain running has been around for quite awhile over there. In North America I believe the Dipsea is the oldest trail race in North America. I think the Western States 100 was the first 100 mile trail race.
